Co-owner and Brazilian Jiujitsu instructor at MAMMA. He has over thirty years of martial arts training and has been teaching martial arts for over twenty-five of those years. He received his Karate Black Belt in 1992 from Gary Jones and he received Black Belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu from Matt Serra in 2014.

Beginning his martial arts career in VA Beach VA, in 1998 he quickly fell in love with the culture of Muay Thai. After 3 years of training at Linxx Academy and Hybrid Academy of Martial Arts, he began competing. In 2005 he earned the title of US Amateur Muay Thai Campion, as well as Silver Medalist in the World Championships. In 2006 he was awarded the Silver medal in the North American WKA Championships. He assisted in the development of numerous US and World Champions while serving as Team Captain and Asst. Coach for the Hybrid Muay Thai fight team.
In 1983 he started training in a Japanese Jui-Jitsu system called Hakkoryu. He then studied Shotokan Karate under the Legendary Toyotaro Miyazaki and Luis Rojas where he reached his 2nd-degree black belt. While he was training karate he was introduced to Kosen Judo and became intrigued by the throws and ground fighting. With the explosion of the UFC in 1993 and effectiveness of BJJ, he was lead to Matt Serra in 2001, a BJJ legend from whom he received his black belt in BJJ in 2014.
Amun Cosme is a co-Instructor in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (Purple Belt) & Muay Thai as well as Amateur MMA fighter. He is the first undefeated amateur bantamweight champion out of Milledgeville Academy of mixed Arts. He has been training with MAMMA for seven years since 2011 where he had no experience in Brazilian jujitsu or Muay Thai. Under world-class martial instructors Frank Mullis JR, Tony Q, and Kurt Reinhard, Amun Cosme has molded himself into a prime example of what is possible with hard work, dedication and sound mentorship.
