Beginning his martial arts career in VA Beach VA in 1998, he quickly fell in love with the culture of Muay Thai. After 3 years of training at Linxx Academy and Hybrid Academy of Martial Arts, he began competing. In 2005 he earned the title of US Amateur Muay Thai Champion, as well as Silver Medalist in the World Championships. In 2006 he was awarded the Silver medal in the North American WKA Championships. Kurt assisted in the development of numerous US and World Champions while serving as Team Captain and Asst. Coach for the Hybrid Muay Thai fight team as well.
